About Team Miles
We are raising money for Miles Stockwell, who at 14 was diagnosed with bone cancer - osteosarcoma.
Miles was diagnosed with bone cancer in November 2021. Since his diagnosis, Miles has faced countless invasive tests, treatments and surgeries leading to the amputation of his left leg on April 5th 2022.
He has received incredible support from Whitstable Town Football Club, Whitstable Cricket Club and Herne Bay Rink Hockey Club plus his school sports teams at Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys (SLGSB) Parents' Group friends and family, and the wider community.
We’ve set up a gofundme page with the aim of raising money for the future. We don’t know what Miles will need but want him to be able to access all available treatments, rehabilitation and prosthetic options.
Supporting Miles
We are raising money to ensure Miles can access whatever treatment, prosthetics, or mobility aides he needs. Because Miles' leg was amputated at the hip, standard prosthetics aren't an option for him, so we are exploring newer prosthetics and want to do everything we can to help him get used to post-surgery, and post-treatment, life. University College London Hospitals and the Teenage Cancer Trust are helping Miles with treatment, therapy, and rehabilitation. You can find more on the great work they do through the links below.
Hearing your messages of support is a huge encouragement, thank you.
